Expats often face additional expenses. That is why part of their salary is exempt from taxes. The Relocation Company can arrange the application of this 30 percent ruling for you.
When relocating to the Netherlands, many expats need to make additional costs, due to double housing, medical examinations or visits to their home country, amongst other things. To offer some financial relief, the Dutch government has introduced the 30 percent ruling, allowing tax exemption for up to 30 % of an expat’s salary.
Please keep in mind, however, that the 30 percent ruling can only be applied to yearly incomes of over €46.107-. Furthermore, the percentage of the tax exemption depends on the height of the salary. For people below 30 years of age, who hold a master degree, a minimum salary of € 35.048.- applies.
