A recognised sponsor has a number of obligations:
– To provide information to IND;
– To registration obligation;
– Duty of care;

Within 4 weeks the IND needs to be informed about relevant changes regarding the highly skilled migrant and recognised sponsor. For example the start of, termination of employment, change of the board, bankruptcy etc.
The registration obligation means that all relevant information about the expat and the recognised sponsor has to be saved. These documents must be retained for five years after the recognised sponsorship has ended.
Finally, the knowledge migrant needs to be adequately informed about relevant regulations. The recognised sponsor is also responsible for the return of the expatriate.
