What will happen if no agreement is reached (NO DEAL)?
Transitional arrangement
“No deal” means the UK would have failed to agree a withdrawal agreement. That would mean there would be no transition period after 31 October 2019, and EU laws would stop applying to the UK immediately
However, a transitional arrangement has been decided by the Dutch government. Britons and their relatives who legally reside in the Netherlands before the Brexit on 31 October may in case of a no deal Brexit stay in the Netherlands for at least another 15 months. The transitional arrangement also applies to family members of British citizens who do not have EU nationality themselves. Britons will receive an invite from the immigration office to submit an application for a definitive residence permit that is required after the transitional period. British citizens are eligible for this permit if they meet the same residence conditions that apply to EU citizens.
